Takeshi's Castle ( Amazon Prime Video )

The legendary attraction variety shows Takeshi's Castle, which was broadcast from 1986-89, will be streamed worldwide sequentially in late April 2023, with eight episodes.

Takeshi’s Castle was filmed at Midoriyama Studio, the same location as the original version. On a vast site of approximately 20,000 square meters, the newly powered-up 2022 version of the actual Takeshi's Castle—and a number of challenging games—have been set up. A total of more than 300 participants, selected from more than 1,000 applicants, will attempt to break through the various tricky games.

Recorded with the most advanced visual image technology, TBS “World Heritage” has since its inception in 1996 has bemuse itself a valuable cultural property with its high-quality footage and visual documentation of mankind’s greatest treasures: UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The program relaunched in June 2013 as the “The World Heritage 4K Premium Edition” focusing on expressing the sheer beauty of the world’s greatest marvels, and is Japan’s first program to be fully shot in 4K as the next generation in video technology, from photography to editing and post-production.

Kodo Nishimura is a multifaceted person who embodies the roles of a Buddhist monk, makeup artist, and LGBTQ+ activist. Despite the apparent differences between these identities, they are all united by a common principle: the aspiration to live life authentically.

In Japan, where LGBTQ+ issues are not well understood or accepted and same-sex marriage is not legally recognized, Kodo's mission is to use his unique background and Buddhist teachings to raise awareness and fight against discrimination. Our six months of close observation have highlighted his compassionate support for people facing challenges in their journey towards self-discovery and have shed light on his inspiring message of authenticity and self-acceptance.
